1. About the Portal
These Terms govern the AnswerUp Core Developer Portal, public documentation, visitor Guide, accounts and associated developer resources. AnswerUp Front Desk is a separate product with separate accounts, operations and terms. These Terms do not govern a developer's own applications or providers.
2. Accounts and access
You may read public documentation and use the visitor Guide without an account, subject to service limits. To use account features, you must have legal capacity to accept these Terms, provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials and use your own authorized identity. Supported authentication methods may change; the presence of a sign-in option does not establish successful verification of every provider or account type.
Registration does not grant private-preview approval, a software license or download entitlement. Private access requires an invitation, acceptance of the separate current Private Preview Agreement, AnswerUp approval and an active entitlement, as applicable. AnswerUp may suspend access for misuse, security or legal compliance.
3. Appropriate use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, circumvent security or download controls, disrupt the Portal, misuse another identity or submit malicious material. Do not place passwords, secret keys, sensitive customer records, payment data or confidential provider payloads into Guide or support requests.
Documentation and Guide provide information, not certification or independent verification of an integration. Guide uses AI and may be inaccurate. Confirm important details against current package contracts, tests and authoritative system results. Guide does not execute your business actions.
4. Software and intellectual property
AnswerUp retains its intellectual property in the Portal, documentation and proprietary software. You retain ownership of your independently developed applications and data. Access to private software is licensed under the separately accepted Private Preview Agreement, not automatically under these public Portal Terms. Applicable third-party notices and licenses remain in effect.
5. Service changes and support
The Portal, Guide, documentation and preview offerings may be updated, limited or discontinued. Public materials do not establish a service-level commitment. Private-preview support is governed by the separate Preview Agreement and is best effort. We welcome bug reports and feedback through support@answerup.ai.
6. Privacy
The Developer Portal Privacy Policy describes processing of account, Guide and preview-administration information. Trace Local operates on the participant's own machine and is not automatically uploaded to the Portal.
7. Warranties, liability and legal provisions
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the public Portal, documentation and Guide are provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, error-free information or fitness for a particular purpose. Guide answers may be inaccurate and are not professional advice or certification of an integration.
For use of private-preview software, the separately accepted Private Preview Agreement governs the software license, preview-specific warranty disclaimers, liability limitations and disputes. The parties do not intend these public Terms to override a more specific, applicable preview agreement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AnswerUp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, business or business interruption arising from the public Portal, documentation or Guide. To the extent liability cannot be excluded but may lawfully be limited, AnswerUp's total aggregate liability for the affected public service will not exceed the fees you actually paid AnswerUp for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. No limitation or exclusion applies to liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit or exclude, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct where nonwaivable. The separate Private Preview Agreement governs liability for licensed preview software.
These Terms are governed by South Carolina law, with disputes heard in the state and federal courts located in South Carolina, subject to mandatory rights and jurisdictional protections that cannot lawfully be waived. No mandatory arbitration is required.
8. Contact and changes

Where required by applicable law, we will give existing account holders notice or request affirmative acceptance before the change applies. A changed Private Preview Agreement requires its own affirmative acceptance.
