What is AnswerUp?
AnswerUp helps applications authorize important actions, check what happened and avoid unsafe retries or false confirmations. @answerup/core is the specific Core package within that architecture.
Who is it for?
Developers, platform teams and engineering organizations connecting AI to consequential business operations.
Does AnswerUp replace my model, agent framework, or provider?
No. Your model, agent framework, interfaces, providers, and authoritative systems remain yours.
Does AnswerUp perform provider I/O?
Your backend runs the business-system request and a separate verifier checks its outcome. The Portal does not execute business actions. The local examples use test services; live business-provider operation remains unverified.
What does provider-neutral mean?
The reliability boundary is not tied to one model, agent framework, or provider. Planned adapter surfaces remain planned.
Why is provider acknowledgment not effect truth?
An acknowledgment describes what a provider reported. Effect truth comes from reading authoritative state after the attempt.
What happens when an outcome is UNKNOWN?
Treat it as unresolved. Retain the exact returned Actions UNKNOWN object and pass that same one-shot, in-memory object to reconciliation on the same runtime. It performs verifier-only authoritative read-back with zero provider redispatch. Durable recovery is a separate host-operated v2-record flow.
Does AnswerUp automatically retry?
No. Automatic blind retry is not part of this boundary.
Is AnswerUp a hosted execution service?
No. This portal does not provide hosted execution or a hosted control plane.
Which packages work together?
The current package set is Core 1.0.0-rc.1, Runtime 0.2.0-preview.5 and Actions 0.2.0-preview.8. Retell adapter preview.3, equipment example preview.4 and HTTP reference preview.4 use that set in local examples with test providers. Retell preview.1 declarations and the preview.2 mock example are historical. See packages and access.
Are release-notification requests accepted?
No. This Portal currently accepts and stores no notification requests. The status page creates no account, package access, entitlement, preview admission, subscription, or payment obligation; see notification status.
Are packages publicly downloadable?
No. Existing invited participants can sign in, but protected downloads require current preview authorization. If you already received the selected archives, follow the HTTP starting instructions; public documentation remains available.
What is the current process-loss certification limitation?
Abrupt process-loss cleanup remains unproven, so the current evidence is not a production-readiness certificate. See Current release status for the technical boundary.
